The second annual Baltimore Beat Summer Jam was more than just a party; it celebrated the community we have cultivated, the musicians and arts we have highlighted, and over two years of nonprofit journalism.
This year’s Summer Jam took place on Friday, July 26, at Current Space’s Garden Bar, where we had our launch party in 2022.
This year’s lineup included artists we have interviewed and those who have supported the paper. Martina Lynch performed live, and cover star Tim Trees surprised the audience with a performance.
There were also ample opportunities to dance to DJ sets by CASH.LISS, DJ-SUN, Cadeem LaMarr, Midnight Club Collective, and Ducky Dynamo.
All funds raised directly support our newspaper’s ongoing efforts to serve Baltimore City residents through engaged and thoughtful storytelling.
These photos were taken by David “Wavey” Anderson and Jarett Loeffler. They illustrate a night when the power of community, the arts, and local journalism was celebrated. It would have been impossible without our readers and supporters.
Thank you to Celestial Spaces for their on-site presence. Thank you to Ice Queens and Bird Box for vending, and thank you to Current Space for hosting us.
Thank you to everyone who bought a ticket or T-shirt or donated directly to Baltimore Beat.
